Eligibility Criteria:

1. Nationality: Non-Chinese citizen; in good physical and mental health.

3. Age Limitation:

   • CGS High-level Postgraduate Scholarship Applicants: No more than 35 years old

   • Self-funded Applicants: No more than 40 years old

4. Educational Background: Possessing an undergraduate degree or its equivalent international standard.

5. Language Proficiency:

   • For Chinese-taught programs: HSK Level 5 score of at least 180

   • For English-taught programs: Proficiency in English as per the program requirements

Required Documentation for All Applicants:

• Personal Information: A detled CV or resume.

• Academic Background: Transcripts indicating your academic achievements and degrees.

• Research Proposal: An essay outlining your research topic, significance, objectives, methods, and potential contributions to the field 1-2 pages.

• Letter of Supervision Intention SIL: Expln your choice of supervisor and their relevance to your inted research area.

• Statement of Financial Support: A form completed by both applicant and sponsor, confirming ability to cover additional expenses beyond scholarship funds.

Supplementary Materials:

• Published works, awards certificates, or other achievements that highlight academic capabilities and professional experiences.

Documents Required for Scholarship Applicants:

• CGS Category Type AB Application Form: Complete online at the CGS system.

• SGS Application Form: No need to submit during application stage.

• Foreigner Physical Examination Form: Fill in English, obtn from our website’s brochures section, valid for six months.

Additional Requirements for Art Design Applicants:

If applying for a design program Chinese or English-taught, provide:

1. One hand-drawn pencil sketch

2. One hand-pnted color pnting

3. An art portfolio related to the proposed program area

Health Check: Submit photocopy of Foreigner Physical Examination Form filled by Chinese quarantine authorities within six months before application.
