Beijing Institute of Technology 2024 Graduate Program: International Student Guide

Welcome to the 2024 Graduate Program for International Students at Beijing Institute of Technology BIT. Our program offers an opportunity to pursue master's and doctoral degrees, providing comprehensive education in a variety of fields.

Duration:

Master programs last for two years while Ph.D. programs ext over four years.

Eligibility Criteria:

1. Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens who are in good health both physically and mentally and commit to observing Chinese laws and BIT’s rules.

2. Master's program candidates need to hold a Bachelor's degree or equivalent, with an age limit of 35 years as of the application deadline.

3. Ph.D. applicants should have a Master's degree or equivalent, be under 40 years old by the time they apply.

4. Chinese-taught programs require a HSK certificate at level 5 or above; English-taught courses mandate TOEFL scores of minimum 85 points overall and an IELTS band score of no less than 6.0 Native English speakers are exempt. Other recognized language proficiency certificates by BIT will also be accepted.

5. For MBA candidates, possession of at least one year's relevant work or internship experience is necessary.

Scholarship Opportunities:

For Chinese Government Scholarship CSC applicants, there are several programs including:

• University Program Type B

  • High-Level Postgraduate Program

Full Scholarship Benefits Include:

1. Tuition Wver

2. Free university dormitory or accommodation subsidy

3. Monthly stip: Master's students receive CNY 3,000; Ph.D. students receive CNY 3,500.

4. Comprehensive medical insurance coverage for CNY 800 per person annually.

Application Timeline:

For scholarship applicants, the deadline is October 15th, 2022 to April 15th, 2023 rolling admission. Self-funded applicants can apply from October 15th, 2022 to June 15th, 2023.

Fees:

• Application Fee: CNY 600person

• Tuition Fee: Master programs cost CNY 32,000year for Chinese-taught courses and CNY 36,000year for English-taught programs. MBA costs CNY 49,000year for English-taught programs.

• Ph.D.: CNY 44,400year

• Accommodation Fee: Zhongguancun campus shared room: CNY 1,350month 2 persons CNY 1,200month 3 persons CNY 900month 4 persons. Liangmaqiao English-taught programs only: CNY 800year.

• Insurance: CNY 800year

• Visa Fee: CNY 400year
